NEWS FROM THE JOINT BOARD

Greetings fellow Hibernians,

On Thursday Aug.23 the Joint Board met to finalize the State Convention for 2007 and to look ahead to Festival 2008. As you know the State Convention was a huge success, and a grand time was had by all who attended. For a complete financial account of the convention please attend your division meetings in Sept. The AOH meeting is on the 20Th and LAOH on the 24Th. The Joint board made a recommendation that some of the proceeds go towards the building fund. There will be
a vote on this at your Sept. meeting. Please come and let your voice be heard.

Before we move on to Festival let me say that the Brigid's Cross Christmas Show is coming this Fall. Mark your Calendars for Thursday Nov 29Th. St Clement's community center. More info soon!

I'm sure Tom McCabe will be calling for a Festival meeting sometime in Sept. Here's what we know now. Central Catholic HS Friday March 14Th and Sat.15Th. We are in the process of making some changes in the entertainment. Don't worry one of our own, John Connolly & Company will be back.

In closing I would like to say THANKS to everyone who gave money to the food pantry at the Historic church of St. Patrick's. We started a program last Oct. to collect funds at our outings to date 8/26/07 you have given over $1000.00. God Bless you!

I would also like to thank my Mom , Joanne Cassidy, for her generous donation of a statue of the Blessed Virgin Marry to the Historic Church of St Patrick's. It is
located just outside the handicap entrance to the church.

We will be moving our Hibernian supplies to a new location, which will be handier to access, the first week in October. We will need volunteers to help move the crates of supplies from the attic at Lonsways to Eileen & Jim Kelly's building. Let us know if you are willing to help.

Respectfully,

Outgoing Joint board Chairman

Matt Cassidy
