Paul Baker made the comment from the  stage at the Irish Christmas Concert with Brigid’s Cross that it was “great to see the Hibernians and the Toledo Irish American Club raising their glasses together for a change.”   Newly elected  Presidents, Greg Cassidy and Colleen Danielak got together during the concert and talked  about the two groups  getting along.  Showing that actions speak louder than words, Colleen volunteered to “carry the bucket” from table to table to help the Hibernian’s  effort to raise money for the “Open Pantry program at the Historic Church of St. Patrick’s.  An announcement was made from the stage that the amount collected came to $235.00!  Thanks Colleen!!!  There is hope that with younger members taking on the leadership roles, both groups will work together promoting  and  preserving our wonderful Irish heritage.
